O, one by nature's outwards so commended
Before you fire up in the comments I know The Elder Scrolls Legends has been out for a while, but now it's available on iPhone and Android phone devices.

And makes her absence valiant, not her might.
Even if it's only a whisper on the wind to hear that Niantic, the Pokemon GO developer, wants to make a similar app for Game of Thrones sometime in the future is enough to send our flail-metres sailing.

Yes, the Pokemon GO hype is still happening majorly across the world and given its popularity it's hardly a surprise for Niantic to want to take a leaf out of their own book. This is no confirmation that it's actually going to happen but if they upload a world of Westeros for us to explore, pillage, and plunder, well, I certainly wouldn't complain.

As you'll see from the Independent article here, Niantic's product marketing lead Archit Bhargava spoke with Gamespot about Niantic's desire to create the genre of real-world gaming – and why not?

Franchises like Game of Thrones and Harry Potter (especially since over 8,000 fans have signed a petition for it) would thrive in this hopefully up-and-coming genre. Hell, I've been waiting to cast spells, befriend magical creatures, and battle other witches and wizards since I was a nipper.

Fingers crossed the popularity born from Pokemon GO will bring out more of these games in the future. We'd finally be able to use our wands in public...but maybe not the swords.
A HUNTER, not very bold, was searching for the tracks of a Lion. He asked a man felling oaks in the forest if he had seen any marks of his footsteps or knew where his lair was. "I will," said the man, "at once show you the Lion himself." The Hunter, turning very pale and chattering with his teeth from fear, replied, "No, thank you. I did not ask that; it is his track only I am in search of, not the Lion himself."

Second Galaxy is a hugely ambitious space MMO which has just now exited open beta and launched fully on the App Store and Google Play. It takes place 3000 years in the future, a time where mankind is slowly colonising a region known as the ‘Second Galaxy’. Five conflicting factions have emerged as the main players in mankind’s future, and you – a talented space captain – have been thrown into the ensuing political turmoil.

Ok, so get ready for some stats: Second Galaxy’s universe stretches across over 1,000 light-years, boasts 50,000+ stars and 5,000+ galaxies, each of which has explorable wormholes, black holes, and space stations. To say the game is huge in scope would be the understatement to end all understatements; it’s ridiculously, scarily massive.

Devolver Digital and Roll7 have announced that cover-based shooter Not A Hero will be out on PS Vita later this year.

In fact, the bigger announcement is that it'll be available on PC on May 7th. With the PS4 and Vita versions coming some time after.

To mark the occasion, a new trailer for Not A Hero has been released and, yeah, it's rather great actually. You can watch it below.
Of pensived and subdued desires the tender,"The secret is I don't skimp the cream," he remarked airily. Captain Jim had never heard of Oliver Wendell Holmes, but he evidently agreed with that writer's dictum that "big heart never liked little cream pot."
Their view right on; anon their gazes lend
The Chinese Room's critically acclaimed narrative-driven game Dear Esther is now available for iOS devices.

Despite being a critical darling when it was released back in 2012 Dear Esther is often the source of ridicule from folks who don't' feel that it's really a game. Whatever you may think of it, Dear Esther is certainly an important game. It paved the way for more games of its ilk such as the excellent What Remains of Edith Finch. So it's great to see it make its way over to Apple devices.

If you've never had any dealings with Dear Esther it's a story-focused game where you explore the coastline of the mysterious Hebridean isle. Accompanying you on your journey is an unknown narrator who reads out parts of a letter that was written to the titular Esther.

As you explore the isle you may see various scribblings on cave walls and different parts of some machine scattered throughout the environment. You might also spy a spectral being off in the distance on occasion as well as you're left to interpret the events of the story.

It's also a visually spectacular looking game with incredible amounts of detail to be found in the environment. Given its age, it still holds up remarkably well and I'm intrigued to see how that translates to iPhones and iPads.

If you're pressed for time but are interested in what Dear Esther has to offer, fear not. It's not a particularly long game, you'll be able to see everything it has to offer in around an hour though you can expect the game to stick with you a fair bit longer than that.

Dear Esther is available now on the App Store. It's a premium game that costs $4.99/£4.99.
Check out our news section to discover the latest, and greatest, games.
