The Fox and the Crow

If you think of Sonic the Hedgehog, some of your minds may go from 'beloved childhood classic' to 'starting point of the Sanic meme'. But, I don't know if any of you ever thought of our favourite blue hedgehog being delinquent material.

Over on Deadline, an interview with Paramount's Chairman & CEO, Jim Gianopulos, finally gave us a clue as to what to expect from the upcoming live action film.

"He's a juvenile delinquent on the adventures in a pretty straight rural environment with a local policeman. It was instantly engaging and it was good enough where you could see where it's going." As reported in The Wrap's interview, the main theme is friendship where Sonic and the local policeman will come together when both of them need a friend.

Cute as that sounds, it's so... weird. Anyone who's played the video games before will know that Sonic as a character is a goodie-two-shoes who's there to help his friends, wants to save the day, and is always down for a bit of Robotnik butt-kicking.

So, for this version of Sonic to be someone who loiters, maybe gels his blue spikes right back, kicks in car windows, tags walls, terrorises the local citizens, and yells at the MAN (maybe), it just doesn't feel totally right. With a policeman on board I can see why a delinquent Sonic would be needed, but I really will have to see this to believe it.

I mean, I kind-of want it to work. It's got some great names involved in the project so far including James Marsden (Westworld, Enchanted), and Tim Miller (Deadpool Director) as executive producer.

What do you guys think? Will it be as awful as it sounds or is there a chance it might work? Let us know in those comments below.

Having released almost a month ago, there's a new cat in town as Max Brass arrives in ARMS on the Nintendo Switch.
Time to buff up those beefy bods, fighting fans! Max Brass has joined the #ARMS roster via a free update!?? https://t.co/zpaPhLeT4f pic.twitter.com/3lJ1xbDShV— Nintendo UK (@NintendoUK) July 12, 2017 Aside from being totally ripped, Max Brass is the reigning champion and head honcho of the ARMS League. When he charges up, Max can get away with a few punches to the gut as he maximizes the beefiness of his bod. Plus, when his health drops below a point his punches will remain charged - just like Spring Man's.

Like all of the current competitors, Max'll be bringing three epic arms along with him. The Nade: a rather explosive set of ARMS. The Roaster: say 'bye-bye' to accuracy and 'hello' to crippling damage. The Kablammer: originally designed for demolishing buildings, this combo merges smashing and explosions.

Check out the full notes right here.
Battlefield square man eats chicken (cracked version)

You won't have to wait too long to play it on your smartphone either, it'll arrive for iOS and Android on 24th October.

Rome Total War – Alexander is a strategy game that serves as an expansion to the original version of Rome. It will see players assume the role of Alexander the Great as he ascends the throne and sets off to conquer the Persian Empire. He's an ambitious lad.

The game will start in Greece where you'll first have to unify its different states.
After Ninty's Indie Showcase yesterday it's hard not to get excited about some of the titles on the way. What's more, Stardew Valley has been confirmed AND will be getting multiplayer.
Stardew Valley is coming to #NintendoSwitch, and will be the first console to support the new multiplayer feature. Look for it in 2017! pic.twitter.com/3dYNmwGPFA— Nintendo of America (@NintendoAmerica) February 28, 2017 For those who don't know it, Stardew Valley is an ultra-charming farming RPG in which you pick and name a character, take over your grandpa's old farm, and settle into the valley. You can plant, harvest, fish, mine, and fight creepy cave dwellers to gather your precious resources.

Between farming and gathering, you've also got a whole town of people to talk to and relationships to build. Should you fancy settling down, there're a few bachelors and bachelorettes waiting to be wooed, but that takes time.

As the first platform to have multiplayer in the game, Nintendo's just revealed a pretty big ace, because Stardew Valley's charms are almost impossible to resist. Though there's no specific date set for it yet, it'll apparently be dropping sometime this summer.
It was an old leather-bound book filled with the record of his voyages and adventures. Anne thought what a treasure trove it would be to a writer. Every sentence was a nugget. In itself the book had no literary merit; Captain Jim's charm of storytelling failed him when he came to pen and ink; he could only jot roughly down the outline of his famous tales, and both spelling and grammar were sadly askew. But Anne felt that if anyone possessed of the gift could take that simple record of a brave, adventurous life, reading between the bald lines the tales of dangers staunchly faced and duty manfully done, a wonderful story might be made from it. Rich comedy and thrilling tragedy were both lying hidden in Captain Jim's "life-book," waiting for the touch of the master hand to waken the laughter and grief and horror of thousands.
