2、Dude Theft Wars
On Twitter earlier today, the studio behind Tengami, Nyamyam, revealed that they had another game in the works for iOS next year: Astrologaster.
Our new game is called Astrologaster. It is an Elizabethan astrological comedy game coming to iOS and PC in 2018. pic.twitter.com/NIacgKX8VY— Nyamyam @ EGX (@nyamyamgames) September 21, 2017 Astrologaster is an astrological comedy based on the casebooks of real-world figure, Simon Forman. The year in 1592 and a great plague sweeps through the city of London. Though all doctors have fled the city, Forman remains to help the sick and needy, but the doctors aren't happy about it.

The idea here is to help Forman to cast and interpret astrological charts, solve patients' problems (from actual sicknesses to missing spoons), and expand your clientele to help Forman prove the London medical establishment wrong.

Astrologaster launches on iOS and PC sometime in 2018. If you're at EGX this weekend, however, you can get your hands on a demo.

3、"Oh, you think a couplet of poetry a convincing argument!" scoffed Anne. "That is so like a man.""Who is attending to the light tonight, Captain Jim?" asked Doctor Dave.
4、
A quick announcement to the developers behind free to play games: we get it. You need to make your games a bit abrasive to encourage us to spend money. We get it.

We get grinding and energy systems and difficulty spikes that weed out the players from the payers. We get random rolls and gold mines that can only hold so much gold. We accept all that.

But a new game called Century City - another brainless screen tapper - took it to a new level.

I found a little roulette wheel, and the outcome wasn't good. "A criminal business has been detected in the city," it said. I had lost a third of my gold. Gold I had spent ages accruing by tapping on the screen like a frantic idiot.

I could accept that and give up several million coins. Or I could reverse the outcome and get my money back by paying a little premium currency, or by watching a video advert.

It's not a huge price to pay. Only two gems when I have eighteen, or a 30 second video advert. But being forced to do either, lest I immediately lose hours of progress? Uncool, guys. Uncool.

There are ethical ways to do free to play, and unethical ways. The tricks Century City pulls - like holding your progress hostage unless you pay up - fall firmly in the latter category.

Thanks to Mike Rose for the tip

Plague Inc's success came out of nowhere. After becoming a huge hit on iOS and despite not looking like much, the game expanded onto Android and Steam and went on be played by more than 65 million players.

What's even more amazing is that the creator of the app became well known and even had a conference at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).

While not something that will fit in your pocket, it's still quite astonishing to see that the game will now become a real, physical boardgame for up to five players.

You might be thinking about Pandemic right now, a massively popular boardgame centered around viruses and outbreaks, but Plague Inc will be a competitive affair pitting your diseases against one another.

The boardgame should be available as part of a Kickstarter camapign.

The digital game will soon be updated with a new patch containing Mutation 12 and if you own an iOS device, you can apply for become a beta tester right here.

- Which may her suffering ecstasy assuage,
-
Nevercenter has released its survival match-3 puzzler Bear Winter on iOS and Android.

Yep, you read that right, this is a survival game and a match-3 puzzler in one. Don't expect any shiny gems or brightly coloured enthusiasm here.

The idea is to survive a harsh winter in the Russian mountains among the ice bears for as long as you can. You'll need fire, acorns, and arrows to do that.

You're given a 3x3 grid to match icons within at the bottom of the screen. You can see another 4x4 grid of icons above - these will fall into the bottom grid after you've made some room.

Bear Winter is fittingly tough. You can only defeat bears by matching three bear icons in a row (diagonally, horizontally, or vertically). If you only match one or two bear icons then you take damage, and you only have four hearts to spare.
!

With the Google Daydream barely released, and actually barely accessible to those who don't own a Pixel, Samsung are back at it with their latest Gear VR headset.

It's a cheaper alternative to the Oculus Rift and HTC Vive, but Gear VR's first and second generation headsets were left wanting a little. Though poking and swiping a touch-pad on your temple might not seem like much of a bother, after a while your arm gets tired.

That's why Samsung's latest headset has an interesting new feature: a physical controller. Shaped a little like the Vive controller, this next-gen feature will make selection and interaction much more natural and (hopefully) less clunky.

"The controller’s touchpad has been tuned to make it easy to navigate to your favorite videos and perform a number of actions within a game, while the trigger lets you select, grab, take aim, and fire," it states on the Oculus blog.

Better yet, if you already own a Gear VR, the controller will be available to buy separately and are compatible with older models. The controller itself connects via bluetooth to a VR-enabled Samsung phone, so there's no need to start selling your headsets.

Apparently Oculus also has over 70 controller titles in development as they prepare for the launch of the hardware. Though they say that they'll open up the SDK to developers in the next few weeks, there's not yet a date or price for consumer release.
